Enter a garden through latticed arch,

smells of jasmine, manicured paths. and

wild roses lead.

And a fountain burbles a song sweeter

than a hymn, and you

breath inwards and feel this burble within,

a drone over which your life freely chants.

written November 1, 2010 after attending a concert of Capella Romana, a Byzantine Chant performance group.
